Yeak Laom Lake is located in Yeak Loam commune about 5 kilometers south of Ban Loung city of Ratanakiri province of Cambodia. It is a lake in the middle of a mountain, formed many centuries ago from a volcano. The lake is about 800 meters in diameter and 48 meters deep during the dry season. The water is clear and suitable for swimming.

Common Waxbill

This beautiful common waxbill was captured in the Diamond Head State Monument in Hawaii during my visit at that place on July 7, 2013. 

The Common Waxbill (Estrilda Astrild), also known as the St Helena Waxbill, is a small passerine bird belonging to the estrildid finch family. It is native to sub-Saharan Africa, but has been introduced to many other regions of the world and now has an estimated global extent of occurrence of 10,000,000 square kilometers.

The USS Arizona Memorial, located at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii, marks the resting place of 1,102 of the 1,177 sailors and Marines killed on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941 by Japanese imperial forces and commemorates the events of that day.
